Dr. Chizari focuses on the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients with concussion, dizziness and vestibular dysfunction, dysautonomia and POTS, balance disorders, headaches and complex neurological symptoms.
His approach combines a detailed neurological examination, objective functional testing, individualized rehabilitation and periodic reassessment, so that how a patient's neurological systems are responding over time is measured rather than assumed.

Questions About Our Services in Calabasas
Do I need a referral?
No. Most patients book directly, without a referral from another provider. If your case turns out to need care outside this clinic's scope, Dr. Chizari will say so plainly and point you toward medical neurology or your primary care provider rather than keeping you here.
What happens during the first evaluation?
A detailed history first: what is happening, when it started, what you have already tried. Then functional testing chosen for your presentation, which may include eye-movement recording, balance and posturography, pupillary and autonomic measures, orthostatic heart-rate and blood-pressure changes, and a hands-on neurological examination. The findings are reviewed with you before any care is recommended.
What if my MRI or CT scan was normal?
MRI and CT imaging primarily evaluate anatomy and structural abnormalities, while our functional neurological evaluation examines how systems such as eye movements, balance, coordination, and autonomic regulation are performing. These forms of evaluation provide different types of information and may complement one another.
Do I need to know which service to book?
No. Book from whichever page matches your worst symptom, or simply book a complimentary consultation. The initial evaluation is the same regardless of which service brought you in, and the findings determine what is actually recommended.
Does every patient receive the same therapies?
No. Active neurological rehabilitation is built around each person's findings, and the supportive technologies (HBOT, PEMF, photobiomodulation, GammaCore, NSI) are options rather than defaults. Each is used only where the evaluation suggests it may help, and always alongside rehabilitation rather than instead of it.
How long does neurological rehabilitation take?
The duration of care varies depending on the individual’s condition, examination findings, response to rehabilitation, and goals. Care is planned in stages, with key measurements repeated during reassessment to help guide recommendations. Individual responses vary, and no specific timeline or outcome can be guaranteed.
Do you accept insurance?
No. California Brain & Spine Center does not bill insurance. Care is self-pay, and fees for evaluation and any recommended care are explained clearly before you commit to anything, so there are no surprises later.
Do you provide superbills?
Yes. Upon request, we can provide a superbill that patients may submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement depends on the individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed by California Brain & Spine Center.
Do you work with personal injury cases?
Yes. Dr. Chizari works with attorneys on cases involving concussion, dizziness and neurological symptoms after injury, providing objective evaluation records, treatment documentation and reassessment findings. Details are on our attorney resources page.
Can I come from outside the Los Angeles area for treatment?
Yes. Patients travel to Calabasas from across Southern California and from out of state. For longer-distance patients, care may sometimes be arranged in a more concentrated schedule when clinically appropriate. Call the office to discuss what is realistic for your situation before you book travel.
